Foundation Scotland are working with Vattenfall to help set up and manage the Clashindarroch Community Fund that will open when the turbines at the Clashindarroch Wind Farm start generating electricity next year.
The Fund, which will be £185,000 per year, will support community organisations and services that operate within the areas served by the Cabrach Community Association, Huntly Community Council, Strathbogie Community Council and Tap O Noth Community Council. A Working Group involving representatives from each of these groups has been working with Foundation Scotland on this set up stage of the Fund.
Part of this set up work has involved finding out the kinds of activities and organisations that currently exist and what people would like to see developed in and across the four communities listed above. You may have been one of the 200+ people that contributed thoughts and ideas via a survey distributed in the Spring or by attending one of three consultation events in March.
Foundation Scotland are now keen to share a summary of what came out of that consultation process and provide people with a further opportunity to contribute their thoughts and ideas. You can find the summary report on the Foundation Scotland website – www.foundationscotland.org.uk/clashindarroch
After you have looked through the report please take a few minutes to either complete the follow-up survey online https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/clashindarroch2 or print (final two pages) complete, tear off and send us the survey attached to the back of this report to: Vattenfall Clashindarroch Community Fund, Foundation Scotland, Empire House, 131 West Nile Street, Glasgow, G1 2RX. Should any of your answers be used in any publication, they will be anonymised.
Please submit your responses by Sunday 23rd November.
