More than 40 participants heard the results of the Huntly Cycle Survey at a lively meeting tonight in the Stewart’s Hall, Huntly.
The survey was carried out in 2013 by Huntly Development Trust with assistance from local volunteers, Tim Bowden and David Simpson. 115 people responded to the survey, several of whom don’t own a bike or cycle regularly.
Presentation of the results was followed by an overview of what is already going in terms of cycling in the area and a brief exploration of Huntly’s rich cycling history. A lively discussion ensued around how to make possible some of the actions identified as necessary.
The meeting concluded with participants agreeing that the appetite is there for a collective effort to develop cycling for all in our area.
